In short

A HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one four-step treatment, finished at Skin Avenue with a Korean PDRN cream for an immediate, no-downtime glow. It suits sensitive and melanin-rich skin and every Fitzpatrick tone, and can be customised with targeted boosters.

The treatment

What is a HydraFacial?

A HydraFacial is a gentle hydradermabrasion facial that carries out four skin steps in a single visit. Rather than scrubbing or peeling the skin, it uses a handpiece and a spinning vortex of serums to lift away dead cells and congestion while pushing hydration back in.

The result is a treatment that does the work of a deep cleanse, a light exfoliation, an extraction session and a hydrating mask, all in around 45 to 60 minutes. Because it hydrates as it exfoliates, skin looks clearer, plumper and brighter as you walk out, with none of the flaking or forced recovery that harsher resurfacing can bring. At Skin Avenue we finish every HydraFacial with a Korean PDRN cream to seal in moisture and leave the skin calm and glowing.

How it works, the four-step method

Our signature HydraFacial uses a vacuum and serum-vortex handpiece to cleanse and gently exfoliate, painlessly extract congestion, and infuse the skin with hydrating and antioxidant serums. Each step flows into the next, so the surface is cleared and prepared before hydration is delivered. The four steps are simple to picture.

We finish every treatment with a Korean PDRN cream to seal in moisture and leave skin plump, calm and visibly fresh. PDRN is a Korean-favoured recovery ingredient used to support the skin barrier after a treatment, which is why it sits so naturally at the end of a barrier-first HydraFacial.

Custom boosters for your concern

The HydraFacial can be tailored to your concern with targeted boosters chosen at your appointment, from brightening to deep hydration. This makes it a flexible treatment whether you want a pre-event glow, ongoing maintenance or support for congested or dehydrated skin. Your therapist recommends the right combination for your skin on the day, rather than running the same protocol on everyone.

Good to know

A HydraFacial is a non-medical facial treatment. It is designed to support hydration, clarity and glow, and it is not a treatment for a diagnosed skin condition. If you have active or concerning skin symptoms, please see a medical professional. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.

What it helps with

Concerns a HydraFacial can support.

A HydraFacial is one of our most flexible facials because hydration and gentle exfoliation help so many everyday skin complaints. It is a strong choice when your skin feels congested, flat or thirsty and you want a visible lift without downtime. Tap a concern to explore the treatments we match to it.

If your main goal is firming and contour, HIFU may suit you better. If you are focused on acne scarring or texture, skin needling is worth discussing. We will point you to the right treatment honestly at your assessment, even if that is not the one you first asked about.

Why clients love it

Six reasons to book a HydraFacial.

01

Instant, visible glow

Skin looks clearer, plumper and brighter as you leave, which makes it a favourite before an event or a photo.

02

Zero downtime

There is no peeling or forced recovery, so you can return to your day or reapply makeup straight after.

03

Painless extractions

Congestion is drawn out with gentle suction rather than manual squeezing, which is kinder to the skin.

04

Deep hydration

The serum vortex and Korean PDRN finish leave the skin barrier calm, sealed and comfortable.

05

Fully customisable

Targeted boosters let us tune the facial to brightening, hydration or congestion on the day.

06

Kind to every tone

Gentle, non-aggressive exfoliation makes it well tolerated across all Fitzpatrick types, including melanin-rich skin.

Benefits describe what the treatment is designed to support. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.

What to expect

Your HydraFacial visit, step by step.

Around 45 to 60 minutes, start to finish, with time to relax while your skin does the work.

01

Consult

We assess your skin and tone, talk through your goals and choose any boosters that suit you.

02

Cleanse & exfoliate

The handpiece clears surface debris and gently resurfaces, so the deeper steps work evenly.

03

Extract & infuse

Congestion is drawn out painlessly, then hydrating and antioxidant serums are vortexed back in.

04

Seal & glow

We finish with a Korean PDRN cream and SPF guidance, and you leave with an immediate glow.

Some clients notice a light flush for a short time afterwards, which settles quickly and is a normal response to the treatment. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.

Am I a good candidate

Gentle enough for every skin tone.

Because the HydraFacial hydrates and exfoliates gently rather than aggressively, it suits sensitive skin and is safe across all Fitzpatrick types, including melanin-rich skin. There is no peeling or forced downtime, so it is an easy treatment to add to a regular routine for clear, glowing skin.

We are honest about risk. Melanin-rich skin in Fitzpatrick types IV to VI can be more reactive to heat, friction and over-exfoliation, which is why we keep protocols conservative, adjust the serums and settings to your skin, and always send you home with SPF guidance. A HydraFacial is gentle by design, so it is one of the more tone-safe facials we offer, but no treatment is zero risk and we personalise every visit.

How it compares

HydraFacial vs Skin Needling vs Glass Skin Facial.

All three are popular at Skin Avenue and they overlap on glow, but they solve different jobs. A HydraFacial is the gentle, no-downtime glow and clarity facial. Skin needling is a renewal treatment for texture and scarring with real recovery time. The Korean glass skin facial is a deeply layered hydration and brightening ritual. Here is an honest, side-by-side look.

Questions

HydraFacial FAQs.

What does a HydraFacial do? 01

A HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and hydrates the skin in one treatment. At Skin Avenue we finish with a Korean PDRN cream to seal in moisture. The result is skin that looks clearer, plumper and brighter straight away.

Is a HydraFacial worth it? 02

If your skin is dull, congested or dehydrated and you want a visible glow with no downtime, most clients feel a HydraFacial is well worth it, especially before an event. It combines a deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation, extraction and hydration in one relaxing session. We will tell you honestly at your assessment whether it suits your goals or whether another treatment would serve you better.

How much does a HydraFacial cost in Perth? 03

The cost depends on your skin, the boosters you choose and whether you book a single treatment or a course, so we confirm your exact pricing at your appointment. Call 0402 991 762 or book online for a firm quote with no obligation.

How often should I get a HydraFacial? 04

Many clients book a HydraFacial every three to four weeks to maintain a clear, hydrated complexion in line with the skin renewal cycle. Your therapist recommends a personalised schedule at your appointment based on your skin and goals, so you are never on a template plan.

Is there any downtime? 05

No. A HydraFacial has no required downtime, so you can return to your day or apply makeup straight after. Some clients notice a light flush for a short time, which settles quickly and is a normal response to the treatment.

Is it safe for sensitive or darker skin? 06

Yes. The HydraFacial is gentle and well tolerated, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin and for all Fitzpatrick types, including melanin-rich skin. We keep protocols conservative for deeper tones, adjust the serums and settings to your skin, and send you home with SPF guidance so the treatment stays comfortable and effective.

What boosters are available? 07

We offer targeted boosters chosen at your appointment, such as brightening or deep-hydration options, to address your main concern. Your therapist explains the choices and recommends the combination that best suits your skin on the day.

What is the Korean PDRN finish? 08

PDRN is a Korean-favoured recovery ingredient used to support the skin barrier after treatment. We apply a PDRN cream at the end of every HydraFacial to seal in moisture and leave the skin calm, plump and glowing, which fits our barrier-first Korean method.

Does it hurt? 09

No. A HydraFacial is a relaxing treatment. Extractions are done with gentle suction rather than squeezing, so it is comfortable for most people. If anything feels too much at any point, tell your therapist and we adjust.

Can I have one before an event? 10

Yes, and it is one of the most popular reasons clients book. Because results are visible immediately and there is no peeling or downtime, a HydraFacial is a good choice a day or two before a wedding, shoot or special occasion.

Which is better, a HydraFacial or a glass skin facial? 11

Neither is better, they suit different goals. A HydraFacial focuses on a clarifying deep cleanse, extraction and hydration in a shorter session. The Korean glass skin facial is a longer, layered hydration and brightening ritual. At your assessment we recommend whichever matches your skin and the finish you want.

Do I need a consultation first? 12

We begin every new client with a personalised skin assessment so the treatment we recommend genuinely suits your skin, tone and goals. You can book your first visit online or by calling 0402 991 762.
